A jeep in which MP Upeksha Swaranamali was traveling met with an accident on the Mirigama Veyangoda Road this evening. The accident occurred at the Bokalagama Junction this evening, police said.
Police said her jeep collided with a three wheeler. The three wheeler driver had sustained injuries and been admitted to Watupitiwela Hospital while the MP escaped unhurt.
The jeep and the driver have been taken into custody.
